On June 12 in her taped message, Dr. Kathy Elwood (Director of Chancel Choir and Bell Choirs 1992-2003) shared that it was good to be back with us in spirit. Under her leadership, Bethlehem’s music ministry grew by leaps and bounds, both within and outside our walls. She outlined many of the new things that were introduced during her tenure – the choir singing from the aisles to bring music closer to the congregation; Journeys for Jesus, taking the musical message of God’s love into senior living facilities and other churches; singing the National Anthem at a Buffalo Bills football game; two performances of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. We are grateful for the gifts she shared under her musical leadership and for her participation in our anniversary.
