    • Crucial Conversation: Immigration
      Starts: 6:00 pm
      Ends: September 17, 2019 - 7:30 pm

      Description:

      Crucial Conversation: Immigration
How do we respond to the crisis at the border as people of faith? There are no easy answers and many perspectives. Share conversation with brothers and sisters in Christ as we consider our faithful response.

Our co-Pastors will lead a conversation about the ELCA Social Message on Immigration (adopted by the ELCA Church Council in 1998) as well as resolutions adopted by Churchwide Assemblies through the years, including the most recent in August 2019 that declared the ELCA a Sanctuary denomination. Choose the time that works best for you: Tuesday, September 17 from 6-7:30 or Thursday, September 19 from 11:30-1.

On Sunday, September 22 from 9:45-10:45am, BLC member Erik Sorensen will share his experience as a Border Patrol agent deployed earlier this year to the southern border.

Bring your questions and considerations to further conversation with our co-Pastors as we debrief all that we’ve learned on Tuesday, September 24 from 6-7:30 or Thursday, September 26 from 11:30-1.
