Thanks to John Schmeelk, our own historian, who revealed the contents of the 1922 and 2001 time capsules in the context of Fairport at those times. A typed history on yellowed parchment paper tells our story – 100 saints who founded a new church, first meeting at the town hall, and then in a room over the local drugstore before buying property and building a church. Thanks be to God for the work of the Spirit and the commitment and faithfulness of our founding members.
