Sunday, April 10, 2022 – Anniversary Tree Planting

On a cold, dreary day with a few snowflakes falling, the mood was festive as we planted a new tree in commemoration of our 100th Anniversary.  Pastor Amy opened with a prayer of dedication.  Organized and managed by Brian Edwards, a new Fat Albert Blue Spruce was placed at the corner of Church and Perrin Streets.  Our youngest helped to fill the hole and smooth out the soil after the tree was placed, giving them a personal connection with the tree.  Tree-themed cookies were handed out as a special treat.  This tree will last us well for many years to come, growing to a size and shape appropriate for the space and easy to decorate with lights for our First Sunday in Advent Tree Lighting.  Many thanks to all who helped!
