June 26, 2002 The conclusion of our 100th Anniversary celebration year
June 26 marked the conclusion of our 100th Anniversary celebration year. The final event was a Scavenger Hunt at BLC.Groups of 3-6 each were given an assignment which involved following clues laid out around the building.By finding the answers, the team members learned more about the history of our church.Prizes were awarded to each participant.
This day also provided the opportunity to thank the members of the Anniversary Planning Committee.Pastor Hoffman and Pastor Amy expressed both gratitude and appreciation on behalf of the congregation for the Committee’s dedication, hard work, and resiliency, all needed in large measure in order to keep the activities and guests scheduled… and rescheduled due to the effects of the COVID Pandemic.
The congregation also bid Beth Schoenfeld good-bye and wished her well as she leaves her position as Office Manager for a full time job at RIT.Beth served BLC faithfully for 8 years, working and interacting with both staff and volunteers, always willing to find a way to answer a question or solve a problem. We will miss Beth and wish her the best as she takes this next step forward.
