Jesus shares a powerful promise in Matthew 18:15-20 – “where two or three are gathering in my name, I am there among them.” Wherever we gather in the name of Jesus – in church, at a Bible study, over coffee with a friend, you name the place – we can trust his promise to be with us there. So wherever and whenever you worship – online or in person – you can be assured that Jesus is present!

In addition to this promise, the apostle Paul shares an important reminder in Romans 13:8-14 – “love one another.” Love is what connects us to each other when we are away from church or the other gatherings where we are assured that Jesus’ presence is in our midst. Love reminds us that we are connected through the One who is love made flesh. Love is embodied in us as we become the hands and feet of Jesus in the world.

As disciples, love shapes all that we do. Love is the foundation of our life TOGETHER in Christ. Through us, God builds a lasting community that follows Jesus of us and joins us TOGETHER in love.

When we come TOGETHER in the name of Jesus, we are assured that he is present in our midst and with that promise sure, we boldly carry the love of Christ to share and take into everyplace that we go!
