Going for Green
A greener approach to giving: no paper required. An enormous amount of natural resources are consumed in the production, transportation, processing, and disposal of paper checks. The trend towards online payments has reduced the use of paper
checks by more than 50% since 2000.
Is online giving safe? Yes. In many ways giving online is safer than writing a check or carrying cash because an electronic gift cannot be lost or stolen. Bethlehem works with Tithe.ly, a respected service provider selected by the ELCA, to process our transactions. They employ top industry standards to protect and secure account information. Vanco processes transactions for more than 5,000 churches and non-profits.
