*Understanding White Privilege: Conversation In the Community Room:

Nov 24, 2018

Monday, December 17 at 6:30 pm, 540 W. Main St, Rochester  This group-facilitated discussion unpacks the premise and concept of white privilege through the lens of Black Americans and persons of color.  What does white privilege mean?  How does it guise and manifest itself to perpetuate racism at the individual, organizational and systemic levels?  How can white people understand the theoretical language of white privilege and their complicity in it whether intentional or not.

This conversation will be loosely centered around the book Understanding White Privilege: Creating Pathways to Authentic Relationships Across Race by Francis E. Kendall.  Cost is $10.  See Julie O. for more information or visit https://www.eventbee.com/v/ceaton85/event?eid=172072823#/tickets to register.
