*Easter Devotional BookletMar 09, 2018
We began Lent with an ashen cross on our foreheads – reminded of our brokenness and how it affects every aspect of our lives. But, in the midst of our brokenness, God comes to us and makes covenantal promises to restore us. Jesus fulfills these covenants at the cross and brings God’s new creation to life at Easter. How can we respond? … “Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.”
These are the themes our team ministers are holding before us this Lent. We are in the middle of how this experience of Lent is touching us – our lives and our relationships. And we, the entire congregation of Bethlehem, are a vital part of this ministry team. We can be transformed by this Lenten experience… and we can help others experience that transformation through our eyes. As you are moved this Lent, could you write a devotion or a poem, could you draw a picture or compose a song? These Lenten experiences from Bethlehem’s people will be available in a devotional booklet on April 8, the second Sunday of Easter.
There is a sample devotion on the table in the narthex to give you an idea of the size and format along with a sign- up sheet to let us know who is submitting devotions. Devotions can be submitted in hard copy or emailed to Dan J. To get the booklet ready by April 8, we need your devotion by April 2. For more information, please call Dan.
