Adult Education – January, 2020

Dec 22, 2019

A new bible study will begin on Sunday, January 5 at 9:50 am in the Adult Education Room. We’ll be using the Bible for this study and we can provide one for your use in the class if you don’t have one.

The story of Jesus doesn’t begin with Jesus. God has been at work for a long time. Jesus is the culmination of God’s work since the beginning of time. In the Gospel of Matthew, Matthew makes sure that as we read his account of the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, we see the connections with everything that has gone before. Furthermore, Matthew tells the story in such a way that not only is everything previous to us completed in Jesus, we also, find our deepest fulfillment in Jesus. The Sermon on the Mount, The Lord’s Prayer, and the Golden Rule, are all found in the Gospel of Matthew.

This study, facilitated by David G., will explore who Jesus is, what Jesus taught, and why this might have some relevance for our lives today. Join us during the Adult Education Hour, beginning on January 5, and discover why this is indeed “The Greatest Story Ever Told.”
