Adult Education

Jan 10, 2020

A new study began last Sunday, January 5. The story of Jesus doesn’t begin with Jesus. God has been at work for a long time. Jesus is the culmination of God’s work since the beginning of time. In the Gospel of Matthew, Matthew makes sure that as we read his account of the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, we see the connections with everything that has gone before. Furthermore, Matthew tells the story in such a way that not only is everything previous to us completed in Jesus, but also, we find our deepest fulfillment in Jesus. The Sermon on the Mount, The Lord’s Prayer, and the Golden Rule, are all found in the Gospel of Matthew.

This study, facilitated by David Gerhardt, will explore who Jesus is, what Jesus taught, and why this might have some relevance for our lives today. Join us at 9:50 am in the Adult Education Room as you are able and discover why this is indeed “The Greatest Story Ever Told.”

(We are using the Bible for this study. We can provide one for your use in the class if you don’t have one!)
